Willie Mae Goodwin was born on June 27, 1960. God called her home on October 12, 2025.  Willie Mae graduated from Mayo High School and Denmark Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Human Services and Voorhees College with a Bachelor's in Sociology.  Willie Mae was married to the late Rev. Johnnie B. Goodwin, Jr., who preceded her in death.

Willie Mae was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church where she sang on the Gospel Choir and worked with the Children Ministry.

Willie Mae was employed with the Blackville, SC Nursing Home, Matthew Center in Denmark, SC, Denmark Technical College, Denmark, SC and the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation in Orangeburg, SC, from which she retired after twenty-three (23) years.

Left to cherish her memories are two children, Khristal Monea Wise (Charles), Orangeburg, SC; and Detroit Rowe Goodwin, Blackville, SC; three sisters, Sara Kinney, Bamberg, SC; Crystal Pomeroy, Killeen, TX; Renee Stokes (David), Bamberg, SC; one brother, Rodney M. Kinney (Kathrine), Hephzibah, GA; best friends, Gracie Mims and Ernestine Jamison, Orangeburg, SC; grandchildren, Kingston Jenkins, Kiason Jenkins and D'Mari Jamison; cousin, Robert Kinney (Beth) Little Mountain, SC, Ronald Alford (Carolyn) Darlington, SC. Jade and Joy Kinney Lexington, SC, Jorden Gomez (Saul) Gaston, SC; nieces, Sarah Madison Kinney, Hephzibah, GA, Tiffany Stokes, Zion Nelson, both of Bamberg, SC; a nephew, David Stokes, Jr., Bamberg, SC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
