Willie Eugene Montgomery was born January 29, 1956, the sixth child born to the late Sadie Mae Montgomery and Arthur Lee Montgomery of Denmark, South Carolina.

Willie was a 1975 graduate of Denmark-Olar High School. He was also a 2000 graduate of Denmark Technical College with a degree in Food Service. Willie enlisted in the United States Air Force on April 14, 1980 and also joined the United States National Guard on November 10, 1988. His hobbies included journalism, computers and politics. He also volunteered at The Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Food Pantry.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Kathaleen, Francina, Charles, Anthony, Margie Mae and Arthur, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: sisters, Glorious Montgomery and Helena Montgomery; one brother, Walter John Montgomery; his aunt, Ruby Dell Dyches; special nieces and nephew, Jessica, Michaela and Clifton Montgomery; special friends, Sarah Broxton, Ernestine Dowling, Jenny Duncan and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
