Funeral services for Yolanda "Lala" Dicks will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, SC. Interment services will follow at Barnwell Memory Gardens, Barnwell, SC. There will be no pubic viewing at the funeral home or the church. Mrs. Yolanda M. "Lala" Dicks was born on December 8, 1970 in Miami, Florida to Helen King and the late Lawrance Humes. She passed away at her residence on Monday, July 14, 2015. Yolanda was educated in the public school system of Miami Dade County and attended Job Corp in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by a sister, Sonya Bender and a brother, Nathan Jones. Although her physical presence will be no more, she will always be remembered for the beautiful smile and the love she demonstrated to those she knew and loved. Yolanda is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Dicks; her sons, Demetrice Jones, Ricky Dicks, Jr. and Nathaniel Dicks; her daughters, Rickenya Dicks and Talonda Dicks; her grandchildren, Ricky Dicks, Lamar Dicks, India McClary and Aubreanna Kearse; her mother, Helen King; sister, DeEtta King; brothers, Darrell Bender and Melvin Jones, Jr.; a mother-in-law, Emma Dicks; sisters-in-law, Debra Stephins and Lois Dicks; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
